A downloadable hunk of rubbish for Windows

This is the second demo for Pride. Thanks for playing, I hope you like it!!

There's a readme file with all of the controls/console commands/misc info.

Info:
Swords are a checkpoint.
Enemies drop pride when they die.  It's used as currency.
When you die you drop your pride. If you die again without picking it up, it's lost forever.
Ranged weapon reserves refill naturally with your magic pockets, so don't sweat throwin a bunch!
Dodging gives you invincibility frames, but only while the dodge animation is playing!
The deviant's slingshot is used by holding down space to charge your shot. There's a leeway period directly after a shot where you can still control the bomb's orientation.
Some smaller enemies have a chance to dodge your attacks. This chance will decrease and scale with the "accuracy" stat, no matter your class.
There are hidden areas, and even a hidden (unfinished) boss fight!
There's a whole bunch of unfinished content/bugs.

Contents:

  • There are 2 finished bosses and 1 hidden, unfinished boss.
  • There's a merchant that sells items/armor repair.
  • Two "complete" playable areas.
  • 8 usable weapons across the 4 classes.
  • 4 spells.

Thanks again for playing.

Is it all right if I stream this game on YouTube? I'll link you to the channel and VOD once I proceed.

Absolutely, friend!

(1 edit)

Alright, thank you :) I'll let you know when I'll stream, but chances are it'll be odd hours so at the very least I can send you the VOD link.

BTW, are there any plans to add mouse support for weapon attacks? I like the combat but it feels strange having to use keyboard exclusively for such a free-moving gameplay style.

EDIT: spelling

Alright, awesome!

That's not in the pipeline but I plan on eventually letting you rebind all of the keys; I can definitely add mouse button support then! But there's no use for cursor support as there's no real way to "aim."
