Update v.0.25.3
I'm gonna be honest I saw streambro was streaming so I figured I'd push some changes that I didn't add to the previous update, including one (kind of major) feature!
-Changed deviant bomb lobbing so you can't actually start "aiming" a bomb until the last one is destroyed. (Thanks liq)
-Fixed reversing blade infinitely creating particles in the lake of creation as deviant.
-I think I fixed random crashing? I hope? I haven't experienced it yet!
-Fixed a bug preventing using nutrients when max health was above 32.
-Drastically changed enemy placement so it "flows" better.
-Tweaked some menu junk (colors, logo animation, etc.)
-Fixed shadow knights not interacting with the player in the lake of creation. I'm an idiot. (Their AI has been changed completely.)
-Changed grabber AI to be more consistent. They now more readily avoid attacks and are much harder to get away from.
-Remixed audio levels so things like dialogue aren't incredibly loud. (And changed the music a bit.)
-Rebalanced stat damage scaling. The player does more damage across the board as the damage multiplier for strength/sight points was increased. Ranged weapons do MUCH more damage. (You can now hit num+ to increase your strength to test it out. You can’t currently increase sight to make magic stronger.)
-Added a rudimentary fog of war to the castle segment! Eventually this kind of fog will be everywhere; this is just testing.
-Darkened everything significantly and reworked how “lighting” functions. Shits dark bro
-Added in full animations for the shadow knight and an actual movement cycle for the grabber.
-Changed hud to a better fixed position at the bottom of the screen.
Known issues:
-Collisions are buggy as HECK
-Mimics can fly through walls and are just buggy in general. (They play hit sounds constantly, sometimes don't change into objects and are idle with their normal sprites, and sometimes don't die when killed.)
-There might be crashing on entering an area--I can't replicate it anymore but I haven't tested it extensively.
-In certain circumstances your "pride node" won't appear after death. Leaving/reentering a room or using a checkpoint should fix that.
-If you die while drinking nutrients, and it restores your health above 0, if you get hit again (for example by a grabber's grapple attack) you'll die again before you actually die and your pride will be lost.
-HUD panes stay on the screen for too long sometimes and don't appear in other spots. Didn't have enough time to fix the inconsistencies.
-Pride orb sound effects don't always play.
-Igrasal is too easy.
-In certain circumstances you can attack rapidly as the marauder, bypassing the stall timer imposed on weapon combos.
-Ranged weapon "ammo" count is invisible.
-HUD options are broken.
